Weeds Filming Locations! Nancy Botwin’s House! Agrestic! A Waterlogged Adventure!

As you all know, Weeds is one of my favorite shows, and yes, I may be binge watching it now for more Mary Louise Parker goodness.

A few months back, The Novel Strumpet, Scott and Erica and I went white water rafting. And before you all make fun of me, I have photo proof I braved the white capped vortex, slayed the rapids that have plagued our lands and looked fear in the eyes.

Or it was a mild course, and I got wet only when we went swimming, but I’ll let you decide.

On the way back from the icy waters of death, I realized that we were going to drive right past Agrestic! Well, at least the Weeds filming locations. I quickly googled mapped our location and the location of Nancy Botwin’s house in Agrestic.

While in the series the town of Agrestic burned down in a blaze of glory here in sunny Cali it still stands! Forgive the wetness from my water logged adventure, but it was amazing to be there standing in front of the house used in so many of the Weeds episodes.

I have to tell you, I was in Fanboy heaven. I had to get pics in the driveway, I mean how many scenes were shot in the driveway? A lot! In fact so much of the whole neighborhood was used in the show. Sigh…

This entire street was used all over the place as well!

After leaving Nancy’s house I had to visit the iconic fountain used in the opening of the series.

Erica and I even tried to do a selfie in front of the fountain but that didn’t work out too well. But it’s a great shot of us and grass which I appreciate!

Sigh… these are the days when I love living in Southern Cali. no where else on earth… Seriously.

A couple days later, I had to pick up a friend from the Van Nuys flyaway. When I drove up, I went… “Wait a sec…” This is where they filmed the finale of Weeds season 6! Where Nancy gets the SWAT team to arrest her after admitting she killed Pilar (when we all know it was Shane).

The flyaway looks so much like an airport, it’s uncanny. In fact, even the interiors in the flyaway were used when Nancy and Esteban walk to the door.

I of course was sporting my Weeds promo hat, because… I wear it a lot. LOL…. I love coincidences like this!
